The Chrysanthemum Field
Didi Zhuang

Flowers are growing from the ground
Chrysanthemums are blooming
The roots of the flower, forever bound
Until it’s end is looming

Rain drops from the grey cloudy sky
The teardrops never lose their shine
Crows jump from poles and fly
It sounds almost divine

I’m standing so very high
If I fall I will ascend
No tears formed in my eye
It is too late to make amends

My head goes first, then my feet
The wind blows across my face
The symphony, incomplete
I’ll meet forever, down to the base

Climbing the fence is not so hard
I’ll be falling into a dream
I’ll be in a state of disregard
My pain will blow away like steam

I finally take a leap of faith
Closing my eyes, I’m ready
It is not like what they saith
My body falls so steady

Flowers are growing from the ground
Chrysanthemums are blooming
The roots of the flower, forever bound
Until it’s end is looming

Rain drops from the grey cloudy sky
The teardrops never lose their shine
Crows jump from poles and fly
It sounds almost divine

My finality is nearing
My thought have started clearing
My final fate is arriving
While the chrysanthemum field is thriving
