Submissions are open for Issue #6 until November 8, 2024. All submissions are eligible for publication in one of our three 2024/25 issues. Please review our submission guidelines before proceeding to the form at the bottom of the page.

Submission Guidelines

  • Fiction - Flash or long-form prose fiction is welcome. Each story must be submitted and uploaded individually as a .docx.

    Poetry - Long form poems and prose poetry are welcome. Each poem must be submitted and uploaded individually as a .docx.

    Non-fiction - Lyric essays and flash essays are welcome. Each essay must be submitted and uploaded individually as a .docx.

    Songs - Singer-songwriters are invited to submit original songs, submitted in either audio (.mp3) or video (.mp4 or .mov) format. These submissions will be published along with their lyrics.

    Scripts/Screenplays -  Scripts should be in standard manuscript format. Screenplays should be in standard screenplay format. Screenplays should be submitted as a .PDF. Scripts should be submitted as a .docx. Please upload each script or screenplay individually.

    Opinion & Review - Scholarly reviews of books, music, films, performances, etc. are welcome. Each piece must be uploaded individually as a .docx.

    Reader‘s Corner - The Reader’s Corner is opening up to student submissions! We welcome recommendations of novels, plays, poetry anthologies, &c. Submissions must be at least 200 words long, each submitted and uploaded individually as a .docx.

  • Visual artists may choose to submit individual pieces or a cohesive portfolio, either aesthetically or thematically. Submissions must adhere to the following guidelines:

    • Each submission must be uploaded separately in .png, .jpg, .tiff, .heic file formats.

    • Please list the medium(s) used to create each piece.

    • Please include the title of each piece and the medium(s) used to create it in the file name. For example, "Spectral Screens (ink on paper).jpeg"

    • Any medium is accepted, including (but not limited to): painting, digital illustration, ceramics, fashion, photography, 3D models &c.

    • Individual pieces are strongly encouraged to include distinct artistic intentions for each work submitted.

    • All portfolios must include an artistic intention explaining how the portfolio is connected aesthetically and/or thematically and describing what themes or artistic processes are explored.

  • Film - Short films and other video content are welcome. Please note all relevant contributors, including actors, editors, or cinematographers with their roles listed alongside their preferred form of credit. Submissions must be in .mp3, .mp4, or .mov format.


    Video Game - Game design and other creative coding projects are welcome if accompanied by an artistic intention. Please contact one of our Editors-in-Chief directly before completing the submission form.


    Hybrid Genres & Other - We welcome work that subverts genre distinctions or does not fit in any of our other categories. These may include film essays, slam poetry, photo essays, mixed-media experiments, or any other hybrid work. Each piece must be submitted and uploaded individually as a .docx, .PDF, .mp3, .mp4, .mov, or .jpeg. Submissions will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Please specify your medium(s) on the submission form.
