Hidden Organs

Everyday,

For many hours,

One way or another,

We look at faces, bodies, of ourselves, of others

I like thinking that there are always things,

Gems,

Gardens

That we see within us.

Internal workings of mannerisms, characteristics,

The anatomy of the cavities of lost love and what's left.

Little glimmering brooks behind each eye,

Tall grass hiding polaroid photos and pop can tabs,

Hidden caves of memories behind fountains of youth.

That we need to discover and define

and re-discover.

and re-define.
